Grand Canyon

On the way home from our wonderful visit with the Wrights we decided to take a mini-vacation to the Grand Canyon South Rim. I am so glad that we did. This is a place that I have never been and it is absolutely breathtaking. If you have never been I highly recommend it.

When we brought Ashton up to the edge all he could say was "Whoa". Then the rest of the day he would say "Whoa, canyon big." I think that he liked it. All in all it was a great Christmas vacation.

Jump and Play

We took the kids to a jump and play playground in Arizona. They had a lot of fun. Ashton and Olivia were just old enough to enjoy most of the toys. Some of it however, was a little hard.
This is Jeff helping them climb through the obstacle course. It was pretty fun to watch and the kids were loving it.
In the basketball court I let Dallen roll around on his own. He is making this face in all of the pictures.
This is Daddy bouncing him on the edge of the giant slide. He was loving it.

Arizona for New Years

This is Dallen's first time in a swing. This is in Aunt Sally's backyard, in December. We were so happy to get out of the snow and into some nicer weather.
Ashton and Aunt Jamie were a little tired after that long drive. They were snuggled up on the couch for quite some time. It was soooo cute.
Dallen scooted himself back into the corner. That was the most he had moved himself ever. Now he scoots all over the place. No crawling yet though.
This is Ashton and Olivia on New Year's Eve around 8:00pm. We did a little celebration with the kids and then put them to bed. It was a little chilly outside but Jeff and Uncle Darren got some poppers that we had to do outside.
Before bed we tried to get a picture of all the kids together. This is all we could get to hold still, and Mason was only there for a split second. Dallen was the only one that would listen. (Ha, Ha)

Christmas Morning

This is the first look on Christmas Morning. Doesn't he look so excited. That makes it all worth it. You can see part of his track in the bottom right corner. That is his favorite toy. After he saw that he didn't want to open any presents. We had to move the track to the other room so he would open his other presents.
The morning was a little bit overwhelming for Dallen. Ashton's cars and his track were noisy and kindof scary for Dallen. (He likes them now though.) When we got him settled down with one of his toys it didn't take him long to figure out how to drive it. It was a good Christmas for our family.
