Bear World

Bear World is just south of Rexburg. I thought it would be bigger than it was, but there were a lot of bears. Ashton really loved it so I guess that is all that matters. They had a few carnival rides there too but he didn't want to ride them. It was fun to see the bears, but at this point I still haven't seen a bear in the wild. Hmmm...did we see any in the wild in Yellowstone National Park? I guess you will have to wait and see.

AmericInn Rexburg, Idaho

For Memorial Day we decided to travel through Idaho up to Yellowstone. We ventured all the way up into Montana and then down through Wyoming. I know we are crazy. The boys were so good and we just had a great time. Our first stop was Rexburg Idaho. We stayed in a suite at the AmericInn. I know really romantic with two kids, but it was actually really fun. Ashton and Dallen loved the theme. After this we went to Bear World, Yellowstone, and The Grand Tetons. Stay tuned for the rest of the pictures.

The Birthday Cake

When we first brought out the cake he was a little nervous about it. The waitressess were singing and there was the candle. He didn't quite know what to do.
Then I gave him a piece. At first he just poked at it and he didn't know if he liked the feel of the frosting on his hands, but he thought it was yummy.
After a minute he just decided to go for it. It was so cute. People all around us were watching him. He picked up the whole piece of cake.
I finally decided that he was done, because I had given him a pretty big slice. He was not very happy with me, until.....
He realized he still had some frosting on his hands. It was so fun to have Dallen's first birthday. The cake is my favorite part. I think it was his favorite part as well. (Daddy was on clean up duty and I must say he did a great job.)

Dallen's First Year

I can't believe that Dallen is 1 year old. There are so many pictures that bring back memories. I love him so much. He is so adorable. At 1 year he is so funny. He is always talking (baby talk). He loves to climb all over and get into everything he can. He loves his family. He is always entertained by his big brother. He doesn't want to walk at all. He will stand, but no moving. Dallen is a huge addition to our family and we love him so much. Happy Birthday Dallen.

Grandma's House

Please don't eat that rock Dallen. He loves eating anything he can get his hands on lately. He loves it when we can play outside.
Ashton and grandma tried to fly a kite first, they got it up a little bit and for a little while, but grandpa proved that he was the professional.
Here is Ashton flying the kite. He loved running to chase the kite and watching it fly. Grandpa was a good sport. We even played a little baseball this day.

Ashton and Dallen love to read stories. Grandma would just read one story after the other and they never budged.
We love our Grandparents, they are the greatest.

Where's Daddy?

Jeff has been working and staying in Manila this week. We miss him so much, but he should be home tomorrow afternoon, Yeah! (I told him I feel like a single mom. When I told my mom that she said that the only difference is I don't have a job, and I am thankful for that.) So Dallen was a little bit fussy and he always perks up when Daddy calls because he can see his picture, and hear his voice. Well Daddy can't call until after 7:00 so I cheated and just showed him the picture.
I said who is that Dallen, and he would say, " Da" I think he knows. He just stared at that picture with the most loving look. It was adorable.

Up in the Clouds!

This morning we were outside on the see-saw and Ashton said another awesomely cute thing. We were having fun and getting excited and Ashton said, "Yeah mommy, I'm up high in the clouds." I think it is so awesome that he thinks he is up by the clouds. Kids have such wonderful imaginations. Both Dallen and Ashton love to play on the see-saw.

Goofy Movie Dance

Last week we traveled down to Panguitch to spend some time with Grandma Kathleen and Aunt Mandy, Aunt Jamie and Kinsey. Luckily Grandma had one of Ashton's favorite movies, Goofy Movie. Ashton loves to dance to the Goofy Movie song.
It is pretty funny to watch. Jamie and I were laughing so hard. He even did the moves that they do on the movie.
Dallen and Kinsey were also pretty entertained. They just sat there and stared at Ashton as he was putting on a show. They giggled and even danced along a little bit.
Kinsey had huge smiles for Ashton. He loved giving Kinsey hugs and entertaining her.
