Easter

On Saturday we went over to my mom's to color Easter eggs. I think she had around 5 dozen. Here is Ashton. He didn't quite get the whole thing, but he did drop a couple eggs into the cups.
There he is with Aunt AD. She enjoyed showing him how it was done. He sat there the whole time while we were coloring and he didn't get any dye on himself or anywhere else, (i think).
He especially enjoyed the sports themed eggs. My mom got some shrink wrap for the eggs to make them look like basketballs, footballs and soccer balls. He also loved putting the stickers on and taking them off of the eggs.
And then there was my poor Dallen. He was sick with a fever and a cough all weekend. He was miserable. On Monday I took him into the doctor and found out he had an ear infection.
But here he is on Monday afternoon feeling much better. It was really hard to get a picture because he was actually trying to climb up my leg at this point. The medicine they gave him worked wonders. Now Ashton is sick with a cold and an ear infection, and he is miserable. Hopefully this doesn't just keep going around.

Jeff's New Toys

I am being forced to say that the Jeep is actually for my birthday. No, but it really is our new family vehicle. (Yes that is snow you can see in the background, can you believe that!)
He got the bike so he could ride it to work. His place of employment is only about 15 miles away and the bike gets 80 mpg, awesome. (My dad says it will be good for changing sprinklers.) Too bad it is too cold to ride it right now. He has taken it to work once.
The car really is fun. It is fun to drive and I can drive anywhere I want. I won't get stuck at my house anymore. My car got stuck 4 times just in front of my house. Dallen and Jeff are the most excited about the Jeep. Whenever Dallen get near the car he gets excited. I'm not sure why, but he loves it.

Reading

This is not a set-up. I was doing laundry and when I walked back into the room they were both reading books. Ashton of course is actually reading his. Well he tells his own story, but it is pretty close to the actual one.

Dallen stopped reading his when I came over to take a picture of him. But he was still enjoying himself

Silly Ashton

So in these pictures I was trying to get a nice picture of Ashton sitting there smiling for nursery. Well you can see how that went. But now I have to share a funny story. The set up: This morning Jeff and I were in bed and Ashton came in around 7:00am (Jeff was still home because he had a migraine last night). Ashton has this thing where he just kicks on Jeff not even on purpose, I don't think anyway. So here is the dialog: Jeff says, "Ashton, stop doing that you are driving me nuts." Ashton says, "Mommy?". Mommy says, "What honey?". Ashton says, "Daddys nuts." I laughed so hard.

Dallen & Kinsey

Kinsey is Dallen and Ashton's youngest cousin. Dallen is the closest to her age. Kinsey brought Mandy and Kalen to visit last weekend. I think that Ashton and Dallen thought she was the greatest. Dallen would just sit by her and entertain. Ashton played peek-a-boo with her and called her a pretty princess. Oh, how sweet.

Helpful Big Brother

The first time Ashton helped Dallen eat I didn't even know he was doing it. I had turned around to finish dinner and I heard Dallen laughing hysterically so I turned around and Ashton was feeding him. This isn't the first time, but I finally got a picture of this event.
Ashton actually does a pretty good job, except some times he goes a little fast for Dallen. But in this picture Dallen is laughing and blowing bubbles.
Ashton loves it almost as much as Dallen does. He is always wanting to help Dallen eat. Although the other day he was feeding him Cheerios and Dallen bit his finger. Ashton was pretty upset about that, but a couple of seconds later he was right back where he started. He even helps him with his sippy cup.
And now here he is trying a little for himself. This particular food was applesauce I think so he thought that it was pretty good. Whenever Dallen is eating Ashton asks for a taste, so I usually give him a taste. As you can imagine he loves the fruit, but hates the veggies. I wish I could get a picture of that. He makes the funniest face and then just starts spitting it out. It is so hard not to laugh.
Here he is when he noticed I was watching him eat Dallen's food. Do you think he looks a little guilty? They are so cute together.

Our Trip To St. George

Winter Fun

This is Dallen coming down the hill with Grandma. He didn't really like much either way so he just went down a couple of times. And yes that is the snow up higher than my parents back deck. (That is about 4 ft deep, including run-off from the roof.)

Here is AD and Ashton walking back up the hill. We had to put some big wool socks on his hands because he wouldn't keep his gloves on.
Ashton had a ball. He loved sleigh riding and he wasn't afraid to go by himself. The only problem was that he just wanted to go over and over again. He didn't have to walk up the hill every time because we would pull him back up in the sled, but for the people that had to actually walk up the hill it was very tiring. The best part about this picture is that I was so busy taking a picture that I wasn't able to catch him and he flew past me. He got going pretty fast. (don't worry no kids were harmed at this time)

Here is Jeff trying to throw AD down the hill. No not really. He is actually trying to teach her how to snowboard.

Dallen as always is just chillin' in his stroller. He just liked being outside and his little snow suit was quite cozy. We had a blast sleigh riding at Grandma's.

Where's Ashton?

Ashton was playing hide-and-go-seek with daddy and he hid in this box. He wasn't a very quiet hider so daddy just messed around with him and picked up the box. We didn't know which side was up and Ashton was laughing the whole time.

He Can Crawl!!

Okay so he has been crawling for a little over a month now. He army crawled for the month of January, but I was a bad mommy and didn't get a picture of that. For the record I do not know what is in his mouth in this picture. It could be anything, this kid puts everything in his mouth and he likes to eat paper.

Baseball

Ashton loves pretty much all sports. Here he is with his bat.

Doesn't he have good form. You can see the ball flying forward in the front right corner, what you can't see is the tee. As you can tell he likes to see the tee go flying. (he is looking at the tee not the ball) I keep telling him he is supposed to hit the ball but he insists on hitting the stick. Well he hits the ball more now, but it took some work.
